Prepare a picnic you will enjoy
Homemade sandwiches, a salad in a sealed container, fruit or snacks to share: choose food that is easy to carry and enjoy during your stop.
Use reusable containers and an insulated bag to keep food cool. Bring enough drinking water for everyone throughout the outing, not just for lunch.
Pack your meal carefully and protect your belongings from splashes. The waterproof barrel included with kayak rental protects against water but is not a cooler. Our team will show you how to close it and organise your belongings.
No time to prepare lunch?
About 50 metres from the Kayak & Paddle Évasion departure point, Kiosque 3, Chez Bruno, offers takeaway sandwiches, drinks and very good pan-bagnats, which we recommend for your picnic.
A convenient option if you are coming directly from your hotel or planning a last-minute outing. Allow time for your visit before your appointment at the base so you can arrive for the briefing without rushing.

Prefer lunch at a restaurant?
There are also restaurants on the Lérins Islands, on both Sainte-Marguerite and Saint-Honorat, if you would rather eat on the island than carry your lunch.
Check opening days and availability, then book directly with the restaurant, especially in high season. Allow time for the meal and discuss your route and landing options with our team. Lunch is not included in the rental.

Before departure, we advise you on your route and possible stops according to your rental option, your confidence on the water and the day’s conditions.
Choose an itinerary that leaves time for a relaxed lunch while respecting your agreed return time. The break is part of the outing: enjoy the scenery and the time together before picking up your paddles again.
Leave your stop clean
Bring a small bag to take all your rubbish back, including food scraps. Check your spot before leaving and do not leave any packaging behind.
